Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is open to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is presently halfway through the four-year contract he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German club, helping them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the first major honor of his illustrious career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about returning home as he earlier was, and would certainly consider lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have learned in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the speediest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five competitions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had eluded him until he won the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would feel after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now believes it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
